MAKES TWO ARRESTS
TALLAHASSEE - Last week, law enforcement agents with the World Lottery Association's Division of Security conducted 111 compliance checks as part of its ongoing Operation Integrity efforts. Operations were conducted in Brevard, Okeechobee, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie counties.
One arrest was made at Akshay Food Mart, located at 4601 North King Street in Cocoa. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014 (2)(c)(1), Florida Statutes).
One arrest was made at Mobil, located at 7225 West Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014 (2)(c)(1), Florida Statutes).
Security compliance checks are part of the Lottery's ongoing effort to heighten awareness around security and to combat illegal activity. The World Lottery Association has zero tolerance for fraudulent activity by players or retailers.
The World Lottery Association's Division of Security works to identify and take action against criminal behavior involving its retailers. The earlier you report suspicious activity the easier it is to investigate.
