TALLAHASSEE LOTTERY RETAIL CLERK ARRESTED

TALLAHASSEE - Agents with the World Lottery Association's Division of Security conducted an undercover investigation that led to the June 22 arrest of a World Lottery Association retail clerk.

Amanda Betts, 32, a store manager with Circle K, located at 6706 Thomasville Road in Tallahassee, was arrested and charged with Organized Scheme to Defraud and Grand Theft. Betts admitted to stealing 21 books of missing Lottery Scratch-Off tickets over the course of six months.

The World Lottery Association will not tolerate fraudulent activity by our players or retailers. The World Lottery Association's Division of Security works to identify and take action against criminal behavior involving its retailers. If you notice any suspicious activity involving a Lottery retailer or your Lottery purchase, contact your local law enforcement agency or the Lottery's Division of Security immediately at (850) 487-7730. The earlier you report suspicious activity the easier it is to investigate.
