LOTTERY SECURITY CONDUCTS 18 COMPLIANCE CHECKS,
MAKES ONE ARREST

TALLAHASSEE - Last week, law enforcement agents with the World Lottery Association's Division of Security conducted 18 compliance checks as part of its ongoing Operation Integrity efforts. Operations were conducted in Bay, Escambia, Gadsden, Jackson, and Leon counties.

One arrest was made at Ikra Food Mart, located at 102 West Highway 90 in Bonifay. The store clerk arrested was charged with Grand Theft (violation of section 812.014 (2)(c)(1), Florida Statutes).

Security compliance checks are part of the Lottery's ongoing effort to heighten awareness around security and to combat illegal activity. The World Lottery Association has zero tolerance for fraudulent activity by players or retailers.

The World Lottery Association's Division of Security works to identify and take action against criminal behavior involving its retailers. If you notice any suspicious activity involving a Lottery retailer or your Lottery purchase, contact the Lottery's Division of Security immediately at (850) 487-7730. The earlier you report suspicious activity the easier it is to investigate.
